What animal would you be?
Here's a question that you probably haven't been asked since you are a child, but if you could choose, other than a human, what animal would you be?
It's probably quite a difficult question to answer, because you have to think about life span, predators, day-to-day events etc, but I think I would probably want to be a wolf. They don't have many predators, and they live in a wide variety of habitats from mountains and valleys to forests and even the edges of deserts.
So what animal would you be? I guess that birds will be a very popular answer

What type of Wolf?
I am leaning toward ''The Golden Eagle'' or ''Red Tailed Hawk''.
Being able to fly is always a plus but the possiblitys of seeing everything from a distance and traveling to uncharted places.
The Bald Eagle would be nice but it is a symbolization in America and I wouldn't want that title under my wings in today's world.

I have always said I want to come back as a pampered cat. I have two cats and they are spoilt rotten, treat the house like a hotel, sleep all day if they want to, play when they want to and if it's sunny sunbathe in the garden for hours on end. Yes coming back as a cat would be just fine

Well for me it would probably be the Wolf too.....canis lupus....grey wolf..
For me it sybolizes wildness, and the pack social structure is suprisingly like human behaviour especially relating to our hunter/gathers past, and in many respects is closer to our own behaviour than the primates. The wolfs absorbsion into our lives through it's decendants (dogs) is another interesting subject in this same theme!
Brother Wolf!

I was once asked this question in a job interview many years ago. I am not sure what it was supposed to say about my character!
I answered without hesitation - sea gull. I don't know why, but on reflection I guess freedom springs to mind - soaring in the wind over the sea.
BTW I got the job - it was with an airline!

It seems to me I have a dilemma. Some time ago, at a gathering of Tribes at a Pow-wow in Sussex, a Dakota Elder told me I had both a Wolf & a Deer as my guides. I have always been fascinated by both animals since I was a young lad. At the moment the Hart is strong but it's strange having both predator & prey in one body.

Definately a Bearded Vulture / Lammergeier (GYpaetus barbatus). Can't think of anything better than gliding gracefully over a mountain wilderness all day, watching all the other wildlife and occasionally dropping the odd bone onto rocks when I need I bite to eat!

I'm not sure that I'd want to be any animal - life is getting too hard for them. Even the big ones such as whales or elephants - deep down, I suppose I'd like to be an African Elephant - intelligent but big!
Going fr a bird, I'd stick to something plain and (again) mildly intelligent such as a raven ..
But why can't I be a plant - a good solid oak tree, for instance? Or an ent?

i would want to be a butterfly in a part of secluded rain forest. unawares of the world around me, just doing my little bit; helping polinate the flowers, spreading life as i go. that would be great, free from any worries, able to fly away whenever i want. hmm...

Hmmm...I have to go with the feline option. For being adored and pampered the domestic cat definitly wins hands down. For sheer beauty I wouldnt mind being a cheetah- but its a hard life. For ghost like mystry- there's no beating the leopard and then there's the Top cat- The tiger...except that humans are busy killing them. So, its the tabby by the hearth that wins this round.

I think I would be a mole. Quiet, just getting on with life, a bit solitary but being able to annoy people with perfect lawns .

I always have and always will to my dying day say that I would love to be a buzzard, up there on the thermals, peace and quiet, no stress except for the occassional crow, just a wonderful existence, I would even put up with raw meat (eeewww) just for that quietness and calm. Heaven. Fi. X X X X

Probably very fantasy-like... but I think I'd like to be a wolf. They're endangered, but they're coming back! Yayay! They're very social... should be able to teach me a few things 'bout that!

On first thought I would probably go with the pampered cat line of thought - what a life - and with will of it's own too Come to think of it, my current Chinese astrology sign is "Tiger" and the things they say about that seem to fit nicely - so, I'll upgrade the pampered domestic cat to one of those pampered tigers in that Thai Buddhist monastery ... and scare the hell out off some tourists on a daily basis just for kicks

I know what you mean - even more impressive, in the same way, is the condor - soaring over the Andes, gliding over the deserts ..... On the other hand, albatrosses do the same over the seas - but I think I'd rather fly over land, could be a bit tedious seeing nothing but ocean day after day (but then, there's not a that many fish on dry land ) ...

For me it's gotta be a Dolphin, just the things they get up to amazes me. They appear to enjoy life so much and they even put themselves out to save the occasional human, even the odd beached whale. They are true examples in life.

If I'm animal I want to be a sheepdog.
A type of domestic dog whose original purpose was to herd or guard sheep. Sheepdogs are just one category of pastoral dogs. Many sheep dogs are now kept as domestic pets or companion dogs. ...
