Mushrooms,are they edible?

These Mushrooms are growing outside my garden, i am looking for an id please as my husband has threatened to eat them, i am aware some types of mushroom can be dangerous if eaten.

I wouldn't like to identify them from pictures. You need to consider things like spore fall, whether they are staining, size ... I imagine that there are quite a few species look like these - with white gills unless the 'proper' field mushroom. It could be very risky - unless you're an expert on fungi, don't touch them!
