I found 5 of these today, the brown body and very pointed tips have thown ne abit. Are they just Geastum triplex but aged or something different, I though maybe Geastrum saccatum? I have never seen Geastrum saccatum before so have no experince to call on and the deteriorated star doesn't help.
I have been having a look on the net when my books came up with no match but they only show 9 examples. According to Wiki (don't groan - it could be right or equally wrong

) there are 19 Geastrum species in the Netherlands and that doesn't include the Pepperpot earthstar I found last week.
