jelly fungus id ?



on moist place, I have seen them a lot, exclusively on rocks.

Hi, great and detailed image!
There are several jelly type fingi which come to mind but I have never seen any on rock. Before I start thinking about this, can you tell us where you are located in the world and where you found the rock, for example, on the coast/beach, woodland or somewhere else.

Yes, I was thinking this looked like something in seawater when we'd need to be thinking of something other than fungi. That will be a change!

I have just popped out into the garden and taken these I believe its a form of Algea it always appears after rain ( and is raining ) always on Limestone is it related to the original post

Mine are located in Slovenia, fresh watter,mountain area, yes limestone, vertical rocks, watter dropping down all the time, rocks wet in dry seson allso.

In short, excluding shape and color this is just like Ascocoryne cylichnium, except it is not.
