These were taken at Dibbinsdale LNR, Wirral, UK at the weekend. All of them were on a well decomposed fallen tree trunk - all the trees in this area are beech so I'll assume it was that.
Firstly a white slimy covering with a couple of tiny 1 - 1.5cm puffball types
Secondly a weird crinkly capped fungi maybe 4cm or so diameter, Velvet Shield Pluteus umbrosus?
Any ideas folks?
