For ID

I found this today on some peeled off bark which was laying on the ground. I believe it to be pine bark as I found it under lots of pine. It measured 23mm across.
It put me in mind of Schizophyllum but the wrong colour.

You like to make us dig deep for thoughts on these, and the only thing that occurs to me, without much conviction, is a well weathered Oysterling (Panellus) of indeterminate species, or maybe even Melanotus horizontalis.

Thanks David, both the Oysterling and the Melanotus horizontalis look quite good for mine. It had spent at least 6 weeks under snow so perhaps the conditions gave it a more leathery look than would have been normal.
I will wait and see if any one else chips in with a pearl of wisdom!
