Pink Fungi Slime Mould?

Does anyone have any idea what this may be. I took the photo last April in decidous woodland at Caergwrle in Wales. Some sort of slimemould perhaps?

I think you are right that it is a Myxomycetes, a type of slime mould - I would plump with Lycogala terrestre - but see what the others think .

Both L. terrestre and L. epidendrum are some shade of red/pink at first and as such not really separable. When they mature L. terrestre becomes dark pink as do the spores. In L. epidendrum both the peridium and the spores turn grey. So find a mature fruitbody and squash for identification.

Definitely a squish needed, but beware, the liquid is very oily!

Thanks all for the identification pointers and squishing warnings
