Oil spills

Bad news about the spill in San Francisco Bay. But less publicity has attended another spill in the Black Sea:

Perhaps because it's such a commonplace?
The Black Sea is notorious for them - as described several years ago:

But the USAmerican west coast and the black sea are not the only places - BBC NEWS | World | Asia-Pacific | Philippines oil spill barge sinks ; BBC NEWS | World | Europe | Spain hit by highly toxic spill and on and on ...

I would have thought that all this damage was a good reason to find alternative energy sources whatever the other problems caused by petrol use ....
