As a future ranger for Sustrans (Sustainable Transport Charity) back in 2000, it is now nice to see the route that myself & fellow rangers set out, up & running! 1 section in particular which I was keen to see up & running was given the go ahead & now meanders gently through Burlish Top next to the Devils Spittlefull 'SSSI'. Its a small part of the overall National Cycle Network here in the UK and by & large the UK is known for it's car culture not cycling

, so to me the NCN is a big accomplishment!
On a even larger scale it is a part of EUROVELO. 12 networks all told which stretches from Galway in Ireland, North Cape (routes 1,7 & 11), Moscow (route 2), Athens (routes 8 & 11) reaching over to Madrid. I'm sure many people have made Journeys along these and other EUROVELO routes and have wonderful tales to tell & photos for us to share?!?
Hence the reason why I started this thread! :
Happy travels
