Green Celebrities

Green celebrities seem to be increasing in numbers and so I was wondering who are now some of the most hard working green celebrities? I've just been reading about Bo Derek's work to raise awareness of wildlife trafficking and wondered which other celebrities are doing similar things.

I know that George Clooney, Leonardo Di Caprio and Gwyneth Paltrow do some things for the environment, though I'm not sure exactly what they do, so I wondered if anyone could fill in the gaps or knows of other celebrities that are working for wildlife or promoting environmental awareness

Perhaps this isn't what you were after Stu but -
The celeb that came to mind when I read the opening post, was actress Stephanie Powers and her work as President of the William Holden Wildlife Foundation. The fondation is a charity dedicated to the preservation of wild animals that she founded in honor of William Holden (Oscar-winning actor) her close companion, who died in 1981.

yep, that's the sort of thing. there must be lots of celebrities that are 'green' or do wildlife work, but I can't think who they...probably because I don't read Hello and OK magazine

If you come across any more info on any green celebs then post it here and we'll start a who's who

I can help with what Leonardo di Caprio does, not sure about the others though.

Leonardo di Caprio, fronts up the Leonardo di Caprio foundation. Through this actively promotes awareness of environmental issues through participation with organizations such as Natural Resources Defense Council, Global Green USA, the International Fund For Animal Welfare, and National Geographic Kids.
The Foundation highlights global warming and its effects, renewable and alternative energy sources, and the preservation of the planet’s biodiversity.
