National Park Zuid Kennemerland
A huge percentage of my posts and photo's are connected to the Zuid Kennemerland NP. I found this PDF whilst looking for other info and thought some of you might be interested to see what I rave about and where I spend so much of my free time. To be honest I usually confine my trips to the northern parts and there are vast areas I have never even been to.

It appears that the authors would benefit from your knowledge of the fungi population, about which there is no specific mention in the brochure.

I have been looking to see if I can find how many tyes of fungi there are in the NPZK and have come up with zilch! I have decided I will go to the visitors centre at the Zaandwaaier as soon as the weather picks up, hopefully there I can find the info I want. I haven't been there for about 18 months, it isn't close enough for me to do on my bike. As soon as I get there and find anything out I will let you know.

If you do a 'Place' search for 'Nationaal Park Zuid-Kennemerland' on the Nederpix website you'll find a few but nowhere near the number of species you have found. They need your input girl - Go for it!

I spend a lot of time on Nederpix looking at the images, I just love the galleries.
I like to use it as a key usually for moths and fungi to see what others are finding at a particular time so I know what to be looking out for.
I am not a member though, and would never dream of contributing my pictures aren't good enough. Nederpix is more of a photographic forum, not a place to submit sightings and use as reference, some times the ID's are a bit questionable - I still love it though!

I went to the visitors center today specifically to find out, and I am afraid they weren't able to help me at all to the number of fungi species in the NP .

David, I went to a the grounds of a stately home Landgoed Elswout on Saturday which is actually in the Zuid Kennemerland NP. I have just been looking for more info about the grounds and came across this PDF,only 2 pages but it lists some of the 300 types of fungi found in the grounds.
Go to the bottom of the page and click on Elswout - paradijs voor paddenstoelen

A good reward for your persistence, and some very interesting names amongst the list. Sounds like a good place for a foray in the autumn. Seemingly very similar to the varied habitats within the grounds and woods of a National Trust property, 'The Vyne' (near Basingstoke in Hampshire UK), which we visit regularly with encouraging results.
