I didn't get out I am afraid, but have had a nice day so far and some really great presents which have kept me rather occupied.
A moth book I have wanted for ages a "Field Guide to the Moths of Great Britain and Ireland" by Paul Waring, Martin Townsend, and Richard Lewington. Shame I haven't seen a moth for a couple of weeks but it will come in handy in the spring.
Also "Collins Complete British Mushrooms and Toadstools: The Essential Photograph Guide to Britain's Fungi"by Paul Sterry and Barry Hughes. This looks excellent, I have been trawling through it this afternoon.
The new Dan Brown book, and some Kendal mint cake for warmth and energy on my treks.
So I am feeling rather spoilt.
