I was peacefully wandering through the woods this morning minding my own buisness when I had a terrible pain in my head. For a split second I thought I had been hit or something awful. But it was half a conker shell that hit me .
It didn't half hurt, I was greatful there wasn't a conker inside.
I know how chicken licken must have felt when he thought the sky had fallen on his head (it was a acorn), lucky for me though I didn't get eaten by a fox!
I mean......hope you are ok now!!
You wouldn't think that something so small could hurt so much would you.
It must have dropped from a great height, or been thrown at you by a squirrel or small child perhaps...or an abandoned hubby wondering where his wife had gone again!!!
What with ticks, cows, stinging nettles and now conker shells....we are lucky to still have you here!!!!......don't touch any strange fungi whatever you do!!!!

Thanks for your sympathy Suzanne .
Putting it like that though makes you wonder why I leave the house .
I've had the odd conker fall on the ground next to me and they a mighty thud, so I can imagine how it would feel hiting your head...ouch!
I've also had the odd squirrel throw things at me in the past...they're right little scrappers given the david and goliath size difference. It's quite comical to watch, but if they started throwing conkers it's war and I'd be tempted to throw a few back.
