Help Please!- File Size for Photo uploads requested

Hello Everyone. I have tried all day to upload a photograph of a Fungus I found in my garden, but no matter what I do, it will not accept the file sizes I use. The normal file size is apparently too large on some photos and they exceed the upload limit. Then I tried to upload from the recently changed files and it told me that it was too small. I even resorted to changing my camera settings, but with no luck there either. Does anyone know, how to alter the file size of a photograph, so it meets the upload requirements? I would very much appreciate some advice from someone, who knows a bit more about computers than I do...lol. Thank you ever so much...!!!

Kind regards, Maria

Hi Maria - its so frustrating when that happens. I didn't actually think that there was an upper limit file size here, I must be wrong. There is however a minimum file size of 800 x 600 and the 800 must always be the horizontal measurement.

I expect someone else will be able to advise on programmes you can use to resize images - I don't know much about that sorry.

The one I use for resizing is a freebie ... PIXresizer.
Easy to use and gives you a choice of sizes.

Thank you goosey and Barbara...

....and thank you very much for your suggestion Barbara. I have downloaded the PIXresizer and played around with it all night. I think I got the hang of it now...took some doing. Brilliant tool...!

I have uploaded my Fungi, ...finally...

I'm off to bed now, completely lost track of time... See you in the morning...
Kind regards, Maria
