weird happenings...
Apparently the animals living in the zoo in Rotterdam, Blijdorp, will all be going vegetarian. Yes, even the lions! The zoo says it will make the animals healthier...
Any other strange things going on in the world lately?

Hi mtngoat,
It was an aprils fool joke . There were loads of journalists to report on the lion feed and worked a treat for publicity.
Funnily enough the lions were fed lettuce and fruit, (but their meat was hidden in them). Unsurprisingly the lions weren't very impressed with the food mind, but they did enjoy playing with the boxes it came in!
There is a clip on:

Did anyone see the BBC news on april 1st about the penguins who have started to fly? I was not convinced, but they put alot of effort into making it look realistic. At first you see footage of them running and jummping and then they all took to the air and were racing around in the sky. It was really funny. They tried to pretend it was to do with evolution.

Yep! I thought it was great and so well done - in the manner of David Attenborough nature programme trailers!

Sorry to have missed these. I didn't notice anything similar on French TV - but then I was watching English football matches. One of the commentators had a fish attached to the back of his coat ... is this traditional?
