Bird for ID

I saw these at the beach, can I have some help with an ID please?

Grey head, pink breast, rich chestnuty back and big white patches in the wings = male Linnet ( with a female just landing on the right of the first photo ).

Thanks Chris, I had checked out Linnet too, but I didn't think the white markings on the wings matched up .

Most small, finch-like birds down on the shore, at this time of year are Linnet. The white in the wing, and tail, is a good way to ID them, even in flight or at a distance.
