Duck ID please

I saw this duck in Romania. I had thought it might be Ferruginous but it doesn't seem to be. Can you help identify it please?

Not a duck but a Grebe, Slavonian Grebe Podiceps auritus I think but I would not swear to that as I am not familiar with the species and don’t appear to have a flight shot at the moment. The other thing that is puzzling me is that it is in its winter plumage, when was the shot taken?

Some photos here that might help? I have only seen the summer plumage.

Thank you both, you have pointed me in the right direction. (The photo was taken in May).

I didn't see Slavonian Grebe, but did see Red-necked Grebe, and I'm certain that is it. Here is a flight shot on the internet of the Red-necked, which is very similar indeed.

Red-necked Grebe. The photo shows the very contrasting grey and white cheeks and, the best discriminant feature throughout the year, the yellow basal part of the bill. Cracking shot of a bird rarely seen in flight.
