I'm inclined, sometimes, to think that some of them might be - curious and dextrous at least. I was walking through a car park today (looking for ladybirds, of course

) when a crow descended with a bag of crisps in its mouth.

It took a few pecks at it ....

... clearly calculated that it had to stand in the middle of the packet to hold it still ...

... and then used its bill to open the packet:

It took a single crisp and flew away .....
