Penguins flying home
The Brazilian Air Force flew more than 370 Magellan penguins back to the south after they mysterieusly ended up at the north east coast of Brazil and released them in the colder waters they are used to.
The last couple of months about a 1000 penguins have ended up on the north east coast of Brazil. 20% of those that do end up dying and the rest end up in such a state that they can't return by themselves. It is unknown why they are ending up there and they are being flown back to their natural environment.
The Magellan penguins live in large colonies in the south of Argentina and Chilli. They migrate north to the south west of Brazil from march to september.

Very interesting -when I first saw this I thought, '... and the turkeys are flying home for Christmas.'
I wonder why they're getting lost - are they going deaf - confused by sub-marine noise? - are oceanic currents changing?
