Hi Barbara,
the first one is a Yellow-breasted Apalis - Apalis flavida. If I remember correctly the male *sometimes* but not always has the black bar on its chest.

The second looks like an African Pygmy-falcon - Polihierax semitorquatus. They often perch up on top of acacias like this one is doing.

I think the beak is wrong for a falcon!

Well definitely not a Pygmy Falcon! I've had a look at the other photo and the only thing that springs to mind off the top of my head is Green-backed Camaroptera Camaroptera brachyura. However they are usually skulking devils that hang around the bottom of tangly bushes.
