What Birding vacations have you planned?

This is getting close to a busy period on the vacation front for me. Sept 10th sees me flying out with a mate to Turkey. We will be driving quite a few miles and will be stopping in hotels/pensions wherever we stop at the end of each day. We are flying into Atlanya on the 10th and flying back from Dalaman on the 23rd. In between that time we will be venturing along the coast to the River Euphrates then into the mountains before working our way back past Patara, Fetihye and Dalyan.

A couple of weeks later we are off to Cornwall for a week from Oct 7th, staying at Poljigga which is very close to Lands End then finally we will be looking to organise a final week in November in Norfolk. Hopefully some good birds will come our way in that period and with them I also hope to get some good photos to place in this and the Britain galleries.

Have any of you folks got future vacational plans.

John

Hope the Turkey trip went well. I was there in September 1989 and drove all the way around the sea of Marmora, visiting reserves and national parks. Met some interesting people from all over the world. The workers at one of the nature reserves couldn't understand why we wanted to go birdwatching there in September, they thought there was nothing to see - never mind the hundreds of pelicans!
