Top Ten Places to Visit in Asia

What are your top ten favourite places in Asia that you have either visited or would like to visit? Your top 10 should only include wildlife/rural/natural places like forests, canyons, beaches, mountain ranges, valleys, lakes etc and not the cities or urban areas. It'll be great to hear everyone's ideas so get posting...if you can only think of a few, add them in and come back to add some more to your list when you've thought of them

hhhmmm.....well, there are a few places which i can recommend in malaysia though. so i thought maybe i should share it here.

1. taman negara (pahang)
2. langkawi a.k.a. geopark
3. belum forest
4. fraser's hill
5. kuala selangor nature park
6. tanjung piai national park
7. pulau perhentian
8. kinabalu park
9. tabin
10. danum valley

I'm not sure about ten places as long as I haven't the opportunity to visit all the Asian countries, but I can assure you that I have never ever seen a place more beautiful than Phi Phi Island in Thailand. It is heavenly beautiful! Cambodia is very beautiful too.

It's not easy to pick 10 places in Asia ( I can do 1, no problem - anywhere east of the Urals ) but here goes, with some rather broad areas :-

1. Sabah ( includes Gng. Kinabalu, Danum etc. )
2. Hokkaido, Japan. ( includes Shiritoko peninsula, Kushiro marsh, Daisetsu Mts. etc. )
3. Nansei Shoto, Japan ( includes Amami, Okinawa, Iriomote-jima etc. )
4. Vietnam. ( too many superb places to mention individually ).
5. Tibet ( ditto ).
6. Sumatra ( anywhere ( that hasn't been trashed ) in Bukit Barisan )
7. Nepal ( ditto Tibet / Vietnam )
8. Sichuan, China. ( just for the 'shed-load' of endemic species alone )
9. Taiwan.
10. Tuva. ( Partly because it's a bu**er of a place to get to but also the wildlife and scenery are unbelievable. )

I've just hammered these out as I kept thinking of other places that could, quite easily, be fitted in. I'll probably change my mind on a few in the next 5 minutes, but these will do - for now.
