crocodiles immune to disease
are crocodiles immune to disease? I heard on the news a few years ago that they were looking to if crocodiles are immune to disease because even after they're cut up in a fight they don't seem to get poorly, even though they live in water with lots of disease
I think they'd discovered that crocodiles aren't just immune to the disease in the water, but it looked like they are immune to all forms of disease. I've not heard much about it since, but I would have thought that this would be one of the biggest breakthroughs in modern science as road to curing thousands of diseases in animals and humans

croc diseases
Crocs suffer from a range of diseases including pneumonia, septicemia, crocodile pox, as well as the normal types of parasite that inhabits those very nasty waters in Africa and elsewhere. During prolonged very cold spells ( and it sometimes does get very cold) they can get sores on their skin due to lack of blood flow to it, a sort of croc frost bite. I am sure they must be immune to some diseases, that they would probably be expected to catch due to their habitat, perhaps that is what is being investigated WW
