Seems incredible that a new vertebrate can be found on such a well studied island as Barbados. Lovely little things - is this a size thing? People look for larger snakes (lizards, frogs, mammals ...) and few would expect to see one at this size; could well be mistaken for a millipede or a worm?

Incidentally, relating to the mini-thread on classification; this isn't strictly a discovery rather a proper description, identification and classification. The people with the older (misidentified) specimens will have to rename them!
