It was an aprils fool joke
. There were loads of journalists to report on the lion feed and worked a treat for publicity.
Funnily enough the lions
were fed lettuce and fruit, (but their meat was hidden in them). Unsurprisingly the lions weren't very impressed with the food mind, but they did enjoy playing with the boxes it came in!
