I know what you mean - even more impressive, in the same way, is the condor - soaring over the Andes, gliding over the deserts ..... On the other hand, albatrosses do the same over the seas - but I think I'd rather fly over land, could be a bit tedious seeing nothing but ocean day after day (but then, there's not a that many fish on dry land ) ...
