It's nice to know you are carrying on Steve Irwins good work in the UK, he definitely had an impact on people over here too didn't he with his enthusiasm and passion for conservation, so what a great thing to be involved with!
Funnily enough, I was born on the I.O.W. but left when I was 10. I haven't been back for 20 years but would definitely love to see what it is like now!
When we did live there though, our elderly neighbour used to have a tortoise that she would take out for walks on a yellow ribbon (or bandage
) so it didn't get lost in the long grass! That is one of my earliest memories actually.
Anyway, good luck with everything and I look forward to hearing how you get on!!
