I wouldn't say "proud of" (I'm not a photographer, just an ecologist with a camera) but some I found amusing.

I always find these Orgyria (vapourer) larvae very strange - nothing like your 'standard' caterpillar! Lots around in Derbyshire this year so I thought I'd photograph one just to show that I do look at things other than beetles



This is more about the things you miss ... one way or another. Didn't do very well with the flowers on our Basque trip: good pictures but mostly useless for id - I wouldn't expect it for a yellow composite so just took this picture for the happy colouring - only later noticed the bug on it!



An interesting view from inside a cavern at Zugarramurdi in the Basque Country. Set in very nice Pyrenean woodland, the cave has been used by humans in various ways for thousands of years. On this day when there were thunderstorms and massive downpours outside, you can really appreciate how welcome caves would have been to early people ...
