Getting on to one of my hobbyhorses ... this is one of those cases where it is very good to get the proper, scientific, Latin name of a plant. Buckthorns in general are toxic to some degree or another (as in
Rhamnus cathartica - vomit-inducing buckthorn
) and no way related to this species ( ....
rhamnoides - 'looking like buckthorn') which is actually very good for you!
