I doubt if I would have got any decent photo's with my point and shoot camera with 5x zoom
but it would have been nice to have the chance to see them. I have never seen anything like that before. I have seen seals off the coast of Cumbria, but all I could see on the photos were little black blobs in the sea

Do you get a good view of the minke from the shore, or would you have to go out on a boat trip to get a better view? I suppose even that wouldn't guarantee people a sighting.
