I only got my digital camera in April 2006. Our trusty old film one gave up the ghost after 17 years of photographing our kids from being babies, the milestones, holidays, Christmases and birthdays. It was never used for wildlife or landscape.
When I got the digital one, I had planned on taking some photographs to record bird and butterfly species in the garden, which I had made "wildlife freindly" just for my own record. I never realised I would get hooked on photographing and recording every plant and insect in the garden or I would discover how wonderful and beautiful moths are. I ended up with lots of photos of the garden and decided to make a website to show everything I had attracted through planting for wildlife. My Wildlife Friendly Garden
Now I rarely go anywhere with out my little point and shoot Canon. I love to take photos of The Lake District in England, and allsorts of trees, flowers and wildlife here in Holland when I am out. Actually, taking photographs, has made me alot more aware of what is around me, and knowledgeable, through wanting to ID and find out more about what I have photographed.
