Of course, as I keep telling myself, it's going to get so much easier to get to France and thus to the rest of Europe in a few weeks. I did a calculation that I would actually be able to do a day return from Sheffield to Avignon ... I don't see why I would want to but it's impressive ....
It is a small world - choose your timing right and you could be in Pompeii at the same time as me!
Travellers' tales I know but I have actually gone to places a long way away, left a station, sat in a bar and met someone who lived around the corner at home.
