Very commendable - and I think the children enjoy doing it? What were they planting?
I've been involved in similar exercises with schools in London - planting oaks mainly.
I would say that this is something that should be done everywhere but
of course you run out of land to plant trees on!
I think perhaps that we ought to be doing it on over-large motorways and airports!
