Rather a lot on the joys of urban Spain so what would, should you seriously do in the Spring?

The Alps and Pyrenees (and presumably other temperate high places worldwide) where the flowers spring into bloom early in the year.

Mediterranean places where the plant die down over the summer - I assume that parts of California, Australia, South Africa and Chile are much like Greece and Turkey where you see very few flowering plants after May!

Plants are, of curse, interesting and beautiful on their own but you also get insects feeding from them and vertebrates feeding on the insects ... and so forth!
