Let us know how it goes - hopefully with plenty of pics. I've not been to the Alpilles (just seen them from a distance) - perhaps I should get a train to Avignon in November and work my way out from there?

The Camargue, of course, is very good in general but not always easy to get around (in my experience). Probably the best visit we had there was when we stayed in a small farm just north of Arles which was flooded once a day (the grounds, not the buildings ) and had a wealth of insects which, of course, moved out of the flooding area - you just had to sit there and wait for the insects to come to you!
